Sovereign Waters Mystery School Community Guidelines
These community guidelines are shared to create the culture and uphold the values of a Moon Weaver, and sustain a safe space for all involved. These may evolve as needed for the community, our Moon Weavers. If ever you’d like to offer additions or amendments, please send them along to courtney@thewellandthewheel.com.
Confidentiality: Everything personal shared by anyone in the mystery school, by students, guide, or guest guide, are sacred and confidential and not to be shared outside mystery school. Confidentiality is essential for trust and creating a safe space for everyone involved.
Accountability & Self-Advocacy: Ask for what you want and need! This is celebrated and will be met with care.
Resourcing: Please seek support however you want or need to help you integrate the experience of mystery school. Move your body, journal, cultivate community with friends and family and pets and mentors, seek therapy if it feels right for you.
Honoring our Earth: Wherever possible, honor our home, our Earth in the mystery school process. Minimize waste, consumption, consider the impact your actions have on the ecosystem around you, and honor and respect the life-giving and sovereign non-human beings in our neighborhoods and our world.
Consent: Fully informed consent is a core value of this mystery school. For example, please do not photograph, nor share photographs, of anyone in the mystery school, even on Zoom screens or posts on Circle, without their fully informed and enthusiastic consent.
Prioritize the mystery school. Offer yourself grace when it doesn’t happen. Prioritizing the mystery school is meant to be an opportunity to prioritize yourself. If any of the solo rituals do not honor you, there is no need to do them!
Compassion: Listen with compassion and share with compassion where we can, not trying to fix or change anything, knowing that our experience is ours, and others may experience things differently than us. Meet it all with curiosity first.
Respect time limitations when sharing and do your best to ensure that everyone who wants to speak has time to do so. Seek the edges: if you normally share a lot consider listening more, if you normally are quieter consider sharing more. (Thank you Tonja Reichley for this beautiful value offered for embodiment!)
Always always always do and be what is right for you and your body!
