Frequently Asked Questions.

What is herbal medicine?

Herbal medicine is a powerful form of slow and effective medicine to help support the body to receive optimal nourishment for long-term vitality and sometimes acute relief. We use medicinal plants in many forms: teas, infusions (which means you’re steeping the tea for much longer), decoctions (simmering the tea), tinctures (in alcohol, vinegar, or glycerine), oils, salves, cooking recipes, syrups, aromatherapy, and much more. Herbal medicine is ancient and has been used and developed in cultures all over the world for many centuries. Pharmaceutical medicine is derived from herbal medicine! Pharma often uses extracts from or replications of many of the very same plants used in herbal medicine; herbalism uses the whole plant to help support the body’s ability to digest the plant’s nutrients and derive the most healing and comprehensive benefits.

What kinds of things do you help with?

We can help support your healing in each of the organ systems, from a flu to anxiety to recovering from a surgery:

integumentary system (skin and hair), skeletal system, muscular system, lymphatic system, respiratory system, digestive system, nervous system, endocrine system, cardiovascular system, urinary system, and reproductive systems

We seek to find the root cause of whatever is ailing you, and help the body to heal that root cause, alleviating whatever symptoms stem from it. I specialize in the female reproductive system, or as I like to call it the “creation” system. We we work with any doctor or other healthcare practitioner you’re working with to find your diagnosis and make sure everyone is on the same page about your healing plan. Ultimately, healing is in your hands, and is your choice and your plan; you know what’s best for you.

What is ritual medicine?

Ritual medicine brings presence and mindfulness to experiences that help us root into our body, our emotions, and whatever spiritual experiences resonate for us. From ritual baths, dances, ritual cups of tea, ritual henna, or even bringing presence into your morning skin care ritual, these experiences are about listening to your body, your inner voice, intuition, and feeling safe and empowered to act on those messages. Ritual medicine can be playful, joyful and fun, and can at times be emotional and spiritual too.

What if I just want to buy a box of tea?

This is available, too! You can buy teas, tinctures, oils, etc for your specific desires a la carte. Prices start at $14.00 for a 2 oz bag of tea, and vary depending on if they are ready-made or will be custom-made for you.

How do I send payment to you?

I receive payment via Venmo or Zelle. Cash or check are also options. Thank you.

What is Sliding Scale pricing?

This is a pricing model that takes into account financial privilege. My belief is no one should be denied access to the peoples’ medicine based on financial barriers. Please take a look and see where you might land on the Green Bottle chart below. Please let me know too if you have any questions.
